Martin Lennon Photography
The moment I saw Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" it changed my life.
It was the first time I saw the urban world artistically presented in a painting.
Although it would be many years more before I picked up a camera: the seed had been planted.
I am drawn to the feelings of solitude one can witness in a crowded urban environment.
I photograph this urban milieu in the tradition of street photography.
Besides the stillness that one can find in the city I'm also interested in how the camera isolates the placement of objects in a given scene.
